Tips for posing your face for a sexy photo
I don’t know about you, but when I have had photos taken of me in the past I have looked at myself and thought “Holy crap, why did I make that face!?!” I have been told I have RBF (resting bitch face) lol. I have struggled with posing my face for photos a great deal. Thankfully, my clients generally don’t have that problem. Here are some tips to remember for your next photo session.
Relax Your Forehead
I know I struggle with this one. When you concentrate you tend to tense, or wrinkle up, your forehead. It is just second nature for a lot of us. Remember to take a deep breath and relax those muscles. Your photographer may be able to edit out those lines if you tense them, but it will not look as effortless as it would If you just let it relax.
Look down your body
I love this one! Looking down your body, down your shoulder etc gives you somewhere else to look that isn’t straight into the lense. It creates variety and gives the photo a more candid feel. When you do this your eyes relax and you get a super sultry look especially if you are taking a strap off your shoulder etc. It lets the imagination run wild.
Open your eyes slowly
This trick will give you that smolder look without much effort. Especially if you look down then slowly look up thru those gorgeous lashes!
Part your lips slightly
This draws attention to your mouth and gives it a soft sexy look without being overly pouty. You can also try things like speaking slowly and emphasising the letters like B or P etc to give a more natural pout to your look! Practice in the mirror and see which you like best before your session. It may seem silly, but trust me IT WORKS!
Smile with those eyes
This gives a little “twinkle” and an air of mischief to the photo. One your partner will go wild over!!
Bring on the smile!
Big smiles, little smirks and everything in between are appropriate when taking boudoir photos. The smirk is my all time personal favorite. It makes them wonder what your secret is and keeps them guessing.
Above all have fun! Boudoir is a great way to explore and push your comfort zone a bit. There is ultimately no right or wrong way to pose. It is all about what works for you and makes you feel good!
Happy posing, until next time,
